King’s Day is a national holiday in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Celebrated on April 27th, the date marks the birth of King Willem-Alexander. When the Dutch monarch is female, the holiday is known as Koninginnedag or Queen’s Day. This tradition features a nationwide vrijmarkt, or “free market,” where locals sell used items. If you’re looking for lightweight shoes. . . These are not for you. They have a weight of 13.33oz each. The heavier weight is due to the fact that the sole is rubber, and not plastic. The sole is certainly non-skid. There is nice padding on the footbed, and “reasonable” arch support. Unfortunately, there is very little padding around the ankle area. But the overall construction is fine.
I hate it when a listing, such as this, shows “Made in the USA or imported”. Believe me. . .Very few shoes are Made in the USA. . .. These. . . Like soooooooooooo many others. . . are Made in China. At the current price of 100 bucks, they are at least 75 bucks overpriced. But you’re paying a high surcharge for the brand name. Granted, these shoes are much better than the super cheap Chinese shoes you will find on Amazon being sold by Chinese companies.

We bought these shoes for our 13 year old son. As my wife wears a similar shoe size, she tried them on as well. First of all, these look super stylish. What we like most is that they are slip ons so even though they have lace ups for tightening/loosening, they are easy to get on and off (which is crucial for our son to get out the door as he moves slower than molasses). Anyway, both my wife and my son say the soles make them feel like they are walking on marshmallows. They are light weight and super comfortable and thus, perfect for walking. While they haven't yet been tested on a run, my wife (who is a marathon runner) suspects that these shoes do not have enough support for serious runs. However, for long walks and general athletic activities, they should be more than adequate. We highly recommend these shoes based on appearance and comfort.

The description says skate shoes and I suppose they can be used by skaters, but these are just really nice looking sneakers. I ordered them for my grandson and he loves them. They are comfortable and good looking. The darker color is nice and they look expensive.
