These are very nice shoes. They're fancy enough that you could get away with using these in a business casual environment, or taking them out for a quick walk through the city. The canvas is light, well sewn, and put together nicely. The soles appear quite durable. Unfortunately, the laces that come with these could be thrown directly in the garbage. Mine didn't last more than a few hours. Fortunately, this is a quick fix, and is something that is easy to remedy, and cheap too. Worth the price.

I couldn't find these in Academy Sports any longer. I found them on Amazon. I love these for Casual use. Goes great with Jeans or Slacks...I hate dress shoes.

no arch support and thin insole. Looks like you could replace the insole if needed but they don't look tall enough to accommodate arch supports or orthotics. Not important to my teenager but felt it worth mentioning for adults.

It's hard for me to find 8 1/2 wide shoes period except for online. Skechers is usually the only shoe brand I can actually find my size and they are comfortable and fit perfect. I got these for work because they are steel toe. I love these.
