This is a nice pair of low ankle cut camo shoes for someone that does not want a pair of distracting bright colored shoes. The sole has medium flexibility and is good for all day regular play, but probably not the best for playing sports all day with friends. The sole has several layers and the rubber exterior of the sole extends high around all sides of the shoes, especially over the toes, less chance of getting your shoes wet from wet pavements, very nice! Also, it has a good medium arch support.

Very happy with the product now that I have replaced the insole with one that adds to the arch support. the insole has also improved the fit which was a little loose. Easy shoe to wear.. comfortable and light weight. I did reverse the shoe lace coming through the top eye .. comes in from below the eye instead of going through the eye from the top of the eye. Not sure how that might have impacted the fit but it does make it easier to get in and out of the shoe. For me .. being able to remove the insole and replace it with one providing more arch support and cushioning has made a big difference.
NEW DEVELOPMENT .. after less than two months of not very frequent use the thin dark grey outer sole(that part that hits the ground) has worn off. Did not realize that the surface that hits the ground was so thin and quick to disappear. This new development has changed my evaluation of these shoes. So .. shoe fits, feels good and looks nice but disappoints when it comes to being worth the money.

This shoe has a great modern style. It bridges the gap between a casual sneaker and a dress shoe. The exterior material is good quality and has a bit of sheen to make it look more expensive. There's enough room in the toe box that your feet don't feel squished. There's also good cushioning. The soles have a non-skid surface for better traction. These shoes are so attractive that no one will guess how much you spent on them. The fit runs a half size small. If you're between sizes, size up.

Great design of a shoe, I have been wearing 574's for many years and I love the style , comfort, and the value. It's very difficult for some reason to get these shoes in these colors and the right size so I will buy 2 sometimes 3 pairs to avoid hassle in trying to find the style again. Great shoes~!

Fit and finish are good, these are a solid comfortable pair of well-made shoes. The quality I've come to expect from Rockport. So why only four stars? The styling, the look, still doesn't quite sit right for me. Not a hiking show, not a dress shoe, not a cool looking casual with jeans shoe. It's a strange middle ground. I somehow thought they'd look better than the pictures, that they'd be good for walking to park, but something about the look doesn't work. For me.
It's a fine pair of shoes that will no doubt last a long time. If you like the look, they will serve you well.

no arch support and thin insole. Looks like you could replace the insole if needed but they don't look tall enough to accommodate arch supports or orthotics. Not important to my teenager but felt it worth mentioning for adults.

Great work shoe, I work in a dry lab environment so these shoes are not exposed to any harsh conditions. Perfect for what I need.
