I READ ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING. MOST WERE POSITIVE AND I FOUND THAT WHAT OTHERS SAID WAS TRUE. THERE IS AN ARCH IN THIS SHOE. THERE IS NO ODOR FROM WEARING THIS SHOE. I am usually a sneaker 13, sometimes a 12 in boots. The 13 here fits me perfectly. My foot is wide, which is what pushes me up into a 13 sometimes. This is wider and more comfortable than it looks, much because it is soft enough to gently conform to my foot. No problems there or with the size at all.
The black looks good, and that means the rubber strip doesn't stand out so much on the bottom. I know that's there by design, but I don't usually like a big wall of rubber.
These are comfortable, easy, casual, The only odd thing is getting the lace ends through the holes at the top, but not a big deal at all. These look good, but certainly won't last forever - they become a deal when your size and color choice happens to be the low end of the price scale (which I think they keep around just to entice you to look in the first place).
