The shoes look and feel well made. A plus considering the price. The hook-and-loop fastener makes the shoes easy to put on and take off. There is not a lot of support for the arch of the foot, so I sometimes use an insert for extra support.

I usually buy the Pro Walker in 9-1/2 Wide & they always fit perfectly. So, I figured that all Rockports are sized the same..... Well, these are not. They are slightly shorter than the Pro Walkers. My toe touches the front of the shoe unless I make sure the laces are tight; and push my foot back into the heel cup. If you order these, make sure you go 1/2 size larger.

no arch support and thin insole. Looks like you could replace the insole if needed but they don't look tall enough to accommodate arch supports or orthotics. Not important to my teenager but felt it worth mentioning for adults.

The inserts in these are very comfortable, not having laces and just slipping on is great. They're very light and breathe very well. The bottom of the shoe is a slightly odd design but I haven't had any issues with it yet
