The New Balance CT500 was originally part of the 1982 Technology Transfer Court Collection. The model looked to prioritize top-notch technology and comfort for the game of tennis. Paul Kaseumouk, Senior Product Manager at New Balance, recognized the shift towards retro basketball and consumer preferences for clean, low-profile, and elevated models. The T500, true to its origin, introduces refined neutral tones that offered something new yet familiar. The New Balance T500 is said to be a modern homage to subtle luxury. Paying tribute to ’80s tennis style that is known for quality and charisma, this iteration of the model boasts a pigskin suede and nubuck construction decorated with perforation hits on the toe box. Other features include the polyurethane midsole that is not only a subtle nod to 1980s tech, but also managed to stand out from older court models.
